Hi! Welcome to IHMB, we're glad you're here, because if you're anything like us(and your visit suggests you are), you hate your bra.
I Hate My Bra is a project by a team of no nonsense engineers who've decided enough is enough. The bra has barely evolved since it evolved from the corset. It doesn't fit right for most women, it's certainly not comfortable when it does fit right for a variety of reasons, and if you want something that's any good, you're going to have to put in a major investment without knowing if it's going to be worth it after 18 hours of wear. We want something that feels good to wear, even over long periods.
The purpose of this site is twofold, though both functions are certain to work together for our goal. We want to hear the opinions of normal women on what's good and bad about their bras, so we can use that information to make something better. We're purely funded by our day jobs, and have no affiliation with any garment company, though one of us has been known to put together some amazing costumes for Halloween! With your help, we're going to take the data we gather off the survey on this page, and the forums for open discussion(coming soon, we promise!), and use it to make something we can all wear, no matter what sizes or shapes we happen to be. Something that fits well, something that's comfortable, and if it's possible, something that's priced for everyone.
So please, take our survey. We'll be using this as the basis for our data, and then studying the forums for the rest. Our goal is to have a prototype by the end of the year, and possibly something in production!
